Read for My School winners announced18/06/2013 Almost 100,000 pupils from more than 3,600 schools across England signed up to take part in Read for My School 2013 — a competition organised by The Pearson Foundation and Booktrust, with support from the Department for Education. Scottish Children's Book Award shortlist18/06/2013 The Scottish Children's Book Awards 2013 shortlist has been announced, celebrating the most popular children's books by Scottish authors or illustrators. The shortlist will now be read and voted on by children. Write to fight bullying13/06/2013 A writing competition has launched to help raise awareness of cyber-bullying, as part of Anti-Bullying Week on 18-22 November. Writers aged eight to 18 years can take part. Ringo Starr publishes picture book11/06/2013 Ringo Starr is to create a picture book edition of his famous Beatles hit, Octopus's Garden, 45 years after the song was first written. It will be published by Simon and Schuster Children's Books on 24th October. The award was announced today during the first London Radical Bookfair held in London.
