Santa to the Rescue!

From the very first page, my son was spell bound with this story. The storyline follows the tale of woodland creatures in Holly Tree Forest receiving a letter from Santa who asks them to assist him in saving Christmas for the Bear family in Mistletoe Mountain, who have been trapped in the snow. The colourful story not only has a beautiful storyline and a message to discuss with your child at the end, but also includes lots of different focal points throughout. My son absolutely loved finding and opening all the flaps in the book and there are plenty per page - often 5-6 flaps to discover. Alongside this, there is a big folding map to follow the trail of the woodland creatures on their quest and an envelope with 'real' letter from Santa. Aimed at children aged three years plus, I would consider this a family story for young children, my daughter (17 months) loved pointing to all the different creatures and lifting up the flaps. The story is interactive and makes for great bedtime reading or snuggling on the sofa to create excitement about Christmas with your children. As a parent, I particularly enjoyed the message at the end of the story encouraging children to be selfless and helping others, as well as the message about coming together to celebrate. From beginning to end, the story is colourful and engaging with a range of different woodland creatures assisting Santa on his quest to save Christmas. Both my children were engaged from throughout with requests for Daddy to 'read it, now that Mummy has finished'. Perfect family story for getting in the Christmas spirit.
