Invent a super bug super hero!
We are looking for a new bug super hero in a special competition run with Egmont Press. You can invent your own 'super bug' - and they can be nice or nasty, you decide!.
The competition is based around Paul Howard's new book, called Bugville. Bugville is home to all kinds of mini-beasts and bugs.
We are challenging young people aged seven to 11 years to create their own 'superbug' or 'supervillain' who would also be at home in Bugville.
The characters in the story display some recognisable bug-like characteristics; gnats are good at biting, woodlouse love dark corners, and stag beetles like to wrestle.
Each Superbug entry will need to include the bug's Name, Information, Likes, Dislikes and a Secret Fact about their villain or hero. We would also love a drawing of your Superbug.
The Competition is open to children aged seven to 11 years in the UK. Entries must arrive with ReadingZone by 30th June 2012.
You can read an extract from Bugville by following the link, below, and downloading the extract.
Prizes for the winners include copies of Bugville signed by Paul Howard and a set of books from Egmont Press.
