Sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge

Children are challenged to read six books as part of this year's Summer Reading Challenge, which takes the theme of Story Lab.

The Story Lab website is now up and running and children can visit their local public library to join the summer challenge and get their first books.

Those who sign up will receive a folder with information about the Summer Reading Challenge including ideas for books to read, stickers and, when they complete the challenge, a certificate.

A number of schools now present Summer Reading Challenge certificates to those who have completed the challenge in school assemblies.

The initiative is recognised as helping to keep children reading during the summer holidays.
