Author Marcus Sedgwick (Fright Forest, Orion Children's Books) and debut writer Andy Robb (Geekhood, Stripes Publishing) discuss their latest books for children and teenagers

Marcus Sedgwick (pictured) has begun a new series aimed at younger readers aged eight years plus called Elf Girl and Raven Boy.

In the first title of the series, Fright Forest, the young heroes embark on a quest to save their world, which is being destroyed by a giant ogre. They are also being chased by three trolls (who want them for dinner) while the elf's magical bow only seems to want to shoot flowers.....

Andy Robb, an actor and screen writer who is now writing for young adults, has turned to role play and gaming in his debut novel, Geekhood, aimed at readers aged 14 years plus.

14 year old Archie is struggling to get on with his step dad, while his own father is about to move away. He escapes into a world of fantasy role playing with a close group of friends - until a gorgeous girl befriends him and Archie decides it's time to step back into the real world. But will his quest to win the girl end in a date or disaster...?
