Secondary Award Winner 2019

Congratulations to Ruby and Bea at St Cecilia's C of E School for winning the Secondary Award of the ReadingZone Picture Book Competition for their picture book, To Be Grateful is Key.

Judge Steven Lenton said of To Be Grateful is Key, "“What a beautiful and cleverly laid out story. So much thought and detail has gone into this book and I think everyone can identify with the characters in this story, showing us we must never take anything for granted."

Students Ruby and Bea have won one hundred pounds worth of books for their school from Macmillan Children's Books, together with a critique of their picture book by Plum Pudding Illustration Agency.


The Runners-Up in this category were as follows:


1st RUNNER-UP
Oh No The Squirrel!

2nd RUNNER-UP

Each Runner-Up will receive a Certificate and a set of ten books for their school library.
