Mole and his friend find a hat with a label which says 'Warning! Do not touch!' As for all children, this is a challenge they cannot resist and when they do touch the hat, they find it is a magician's top hat, which keeps producing rabbits. As more and more rabbits appear, the challenge is how to get rid of them. Eventually they solve the problem by enticing all of them back into the hat with carrots.But what is the unidentified stick they find lying near the hat? A magician's wand, of course, so more problems are likely to occur. The book will appeal to KS1 children who will enjoy the humour and identify with Mole. This is a fun picture book to share. Ages 4/5+ / Reviewed by Kathy Slater, teacher.
