Chris Wooding
About Author
Born in 1977, Chris Wooding grew up in an ex-mining town in the Midlands. Books provided his escape from the grim surroundings and by the time he was a teenager, Wooding had decided he wanted to be an author.
He wrote while studying English Literature at the University of Sheffield and his first book, Crashing, was accepted for publication when he was just 19 years old. He took up writing full-time when he left university at 21.
Wooding has travelled extensively, to the USA, the Far East, Europe and Japan.
His titles include Silver Smarties Award-winner 'The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray, Poison, Broken Sky, Kerosene and Storm Thief.
