Synopsis
From the creator of Barbara Throws a Wobbler - the ultimate story to chase (and laugh) your worries away.... Geoffrey's got the jitters! It started last night when he was thinking about school - a funny, wiggly feeling in his tummy that grew and grew. But when Geoffrey's tummy jitters started talking to him - that's when he knew they were out of control. Geoffrey had to do something...
Through a laugh-out-loud story and loveable character, Nadia Shireen shows how to understand and dispel anxieties, one jitter at a time.
Praise for Barbara Throws a Wobbler: "This book is AMAZING! It will be a modern classic" Richard Osman

Anyone who already knows Nadia's other books, in particular Barbara Throws a Wobbler, will know what to expect in this hilarious new picture book. Poor Geoffrey - he tells everyone he is okay, when he very clearly is not. You see, he's got a bad case of the Jitters and they are taking over his life. He does his best to cope with their increasing numbers until one day he's had enough and simply asks them how to make them go away. The Jitters are surprisingly helpful with this, and Geoffrey works hard on each one until there are no more Jitters at all. Which means he can get on with his day, having a lovely time with Barbara (who has now stopped throwing a wobbly).
Geoffrey Gets the Jitters is a delightful book which should be in every classroom, library and bedroom. All children (and some adults) struggle with a bad case of the jitters now and again but if they follow Geoffrey's instructions they will make them disappear quickly. The bright and colourful illustrations will make this a firm favourite for all Early Years and Key Stage One children. A perfect birthday or Christmas present for any anxious little Geoffrey's (or Jemima's) out there.
