Anna and Crocodile want to go to the moon but they aren't sure if they have the skills they need. They decide to test their patience, their maths skills and their speed before they take on the challenge. Together, they prepare for their journey including making lots of snacks to help to get them there. Determined Anna and courageous Crocodile build their rocket and off they go! On their way, the pair tuck into their sandwiches and play some games to help to pass the time. Before they know it, they arrive on the moon and take some time to explore before heading home after their epic adventure. Whilst on one level this is a nice story to share about the friendship between Anna and Crocodile, it also provides a great platform to begin to inspire and teach young children about space. Lots of quite difficult concepts are introduced such as the effects of gravity, wearing a space suit on the moon as well as how far it really is from Earth to the moon. The story includes some fantastic pictures which give children some idea of the relationship between the moon, the Earth and the stars in a visual way.
