Hugg 'n' Bugg: Finding Home: "This book made me laugh out loud. It was so funny and a little bit rude. I'm really glad that Bugg found Hugg because it looks like they were made for each other." F aged 10. "Our teacher shared this book with us and we loved it. Hugg looks so much happier at the end of the story and even though Bugg is so tiny, the two characters become best pals. It is a great story." A aged 9.
Teacher's note: this rhyming narrative text is funny, yet with some serious science embedded within. The idea of symbiosis and animals needing to be suited to their environments threads it way throughout this book. It is a great way to introduce these ideas to children and will be included in our science section of the school library. Recommended for ages 5+.
