National Trust: When Spring Comes is a perfect book for explaining to pre-schooler the seasonal changes that happen throughout the year. This would be a good book to read in February or March, preparing young children for what will happen next in our seasons.
I will share this with my school's nursery class (ages two to four) and ask the children if they believe we can plant seeds in the school allotment or splash in puddles after it has rained? Can we can smile as the bees buzz around the school blossom trees? I will then leave the book in the book area as it is an easy book for children to read using the pictures. I would expect to see children sharing this book and talking about the pictures.
When Spring Comes is a book to be enjoyed yearly by very young children, their parents and/or their teachers.
