A beautifully illustrated book about different family set ups. The Roots of Love explores the difficult subject of family separation and helps children realise that not everyone lives with their mum and dad.
Tia's mum and dad tell her that they are separating and her dad is moving out. Tia is understandably upset and no longer wants to share her homework project about her family as she is worried her class will think her family is strange. However, after several classmates share their projects, Tia soon realises that families come in all shapes and sizes; even though her family has changed, they are still a family and their love will last forever.
A wonderful book for any child to help them understand different family scenarios or to assist them during their own family separation.
