David Tennant to read Cowell's audio book

Actor David Tennant will read Cressida Cowell's new book, The Wizards of Once, for the audio version of the book which will be released together with the hardback and ebook in the UK on 19th September.

David Tennant has already read Cressida Cowell's 12-book How to Train Your Dragon series, which inspired the films of the same name. DreamWorks - which created those films - has also acquired the film adaptation rights to The Wizards of Once. Cressida Cowell said, "I've been immensely lucky to have David Tennant interpreting my books for over a decade, and I'm absolutely thrilled that he's going to be reading The Wizards of Once. "Having your story brought to life by an actor of his skill and genius is a special kind of magic. My first aim as a children's author is to get kids reading, and a fantastic audiobook is a vital component in that quest. "David's incredible talent has introduced thousands of families to How to Train Your Dragon. A large number of children and parents have told me that they were so gripped by listening to his audio version on long car journeys that they had to stay in the car even after they reached their destination, in order to hear the end of the story. I can't wait to hear him reading The Wizards of Once."
