Can you help television presenter Katie Thistleton who is writing a new agony-aunt style book for children and teenagers? Free posters are available for schools.
The book will be called Dear Katie and Katie is asking readers to write to her about their problems. Dear Katie will explore the challenges children and teenagers face as they grow up in her new book. Orion Children's Books, who will publish the book next summer, is sending a call-out to Katie's existing fans and new readers asking them to send letters to Katie about their problems. If you would like to receive a poster about the project, please email [email protected] (subject Poster). Information can be found on a dedicated webpage, below, and letters can be sent by email to: [email protected]. All names and details will be changed to provide anonymity. Katie says, "I have always been passionate about helping young people, especially since working as a TV and radio presenter reaching and meeting young people on a daily basis. I was inspired after reading accounts of real-life issues which helped me with my own problems. "I wanted to do the same for young people and children as I believe reading about others' experiences is the most beneficial form of self-help. I can't wait to get the letters in and start writing, it's a dream come true for me!" Katie's advice will also be supported by an accredited psychotherapist.
