Reading challenge

Educational charity Achievement for All has issued a challenge to primary schools to reach 10 million minutes of reading between Thursday 9th March and Wednesday 15th March.

The one-week reading challenge has been developed to help inspire children to read. Schools will need to encourage their pupils to read for as many minutes as they can over one week. The main prize is a new library or reading area worth 10,000 for the winning school, donated by Peters, with other prizes including vouches from Oxford University Press and Nu notebooks and filing packs. The results will be shown on a real-time school leaderboard, with positions based on the average number of minutes read per pupil. Find out how to get involved here:
