We are thrilled to announce our line-up for the ReadingZone Festival 2019, when we will be taking bestselling authors to meet 4,000 children at schools in Surrey during a full week of events in February.

The authors taking part in this year's event include writers for children and teenagers, who will talk about fiction, non-fiction, poetry and picture books. We would like to thank our sponsors, TWM Solicitors and Plum Pudding Illustration Agency, for supporting this year's event, helping us to reach more children than ever before. These are the authors we will be taking to schools in Surrey: Jonny Lambert Picture book creator Jonny Lambert will talk about his picture books and encourage children in their own creative writing, modelling and drawing! Holly Smale Bestselling author of the Geek Girl series, Holly Smale will introduce her brilliant new series The Valentines, focusing on a family of famous but dysfunctional actors. The series begins with Happy Girl Lucky. Adisa Performance poet Adisa will wow students with his interactive presentation, encouraging them to create their own poetry - and perform it! Ally Sherrick Stepping back in time, Ally Sherrick will talk to children about her books The Buried Crown, set during World War II, and Black Powder, which explores a plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament in the 17th Century. Simon Cherry, illus Francis Blake How hard is it to write a funny book? Simon Cherry and illustrator Francis Blake will keep children on their toes in this fun, interactive session focusing on the Eddy Stone books - funny, fast-paced and absorbing adventures starring the mishaps of Eddy Stone! Christopher Lloyd Non-fiction author Christopher Lloyd will take children on a journey through 13 billion years of history, from the creation of Earth, through dinosaurs and up to the impact of revolutions and technology in this entertaining, interactive event - children will experience history in a whole new way! Our authors will visit schools in Epsom, Reigate, Redhill, Dorking and Horsham and will meet some 4,000 children during a week of events, inspiring the children to try some writing themselves - and to read these fabulous new books!
