The Nottinghill Carnival takes central stage in this story about families, memories and the power of dance and festivals. Author Yaba Badoe tells us more, and reads from a short section of Man-man and the Tree of Memories.
Through the story, Yaba Badoe explores how carnival and dance can help to heal the ancient wrongs of enslavement, as three children confront these shadows in their family and overcome them through the power of memory and dance.
