Storytime magazine is celebrating its 50th issue with a story writing competition for children aged three to nine years, challenging them to write a story in up to 50 words. The deadline is 30 November 2018.

Schools and families interested in entering Storytime's 50-word story competition can download a pack for their children, which is full of writing tips and activities, via the link, below. The winning entry will be published in Storytime and the winner will receive a bundle of Storytime issues from 1 to 50, along with a winner's certificate. The Storytime team hopes that its 50-word story competition can engage children in creative writing as well as reading. Storytime's marketing director Leslie Coathup said, "What better way to engage and inspire young readers than to give them the chance to read their own story in Storytime? We cant wait to read the entries." Storytime is an independent magazine and offers seven short stories, poems and activities in every monthly issue. The magazine relies on subscriptions rather than advertising and giveaways.
