This was quite a fun tale about Anna and Crocodile's adventure to find gold. For those children who dream of adventures, this is a book likely to capture their imagination. I did not find this book easy to engage with and my six year old wasn't very interested. I thought the illustrations provided lots of talking points however the text of the story was not so good and I didn't particularly like the theme of looking for the gold, then wanting to spend it, hide it etc... I don't think this story is particularly engaging for younger readers. The adventure part was fine, however the ending seemed a bit odd. Personal view obviously. However any school topics on pirates and treasure maps and going on adventures could probably gain something from this text to use along side the topic work.
