This is the final book in the series from Sam Usher. It follows the beautiful relationship of a boy and his grandfather going for a walk on a windy, autumnal day to fly a kite. The book is told from the boy's perspective and is set in same house as the previous books (Rain, Sun, Snow). The illustrations bring the story to life with the vivid colours and thoughtful details. The book shows the importance of family and going on adventures, not being inside - even with that weather! The bond between the boy and his grandfather is so beautiful and a great talking point with children. I would thoroughly recommend the full series - especially to Nursery, Pre-school and Reception ages as it bring the seasons to life and paints them in a fun and interesting way using images and simple language, making it easily accessible.
