Rebecca Lisle

About Author

Rebecca was born in Yorkshire to artist parents. Rebecca has inherited some of their talent and illustrated a few of her books - she even did the cover of 'Shrubbery Skulduggery'. She has always lived in a house with dogs and cats and many of her books feature animals of one sort or another. She studied botany at university so there are lots of plants in her books as well. Rebecca always dreamed of becoming a writer, though she has had lots of other jobs: working in an office, cleaning in a hospital and working as a waitress in a hotel. She rates 1986 as one of her best years because she had her first son - she has three boys altogether - and also published her first book. Rebecca's most recent novel is a historical adventure thriller about witchcraft and medicine.

Rebecca was born in Leeds but now lives in Bristol. She has an incredibly invaluable BSc in Plant Biology and an MA in Creative Writing.
She has been writing stories since first picking up a pencil and has published 24 titles.
She has also illustrated some of her books and when she's not writing enjoys drawing and painting.
