This book is a breath of fresh air... A Snowfall of Silver is a unique, captivating stand alone story about following your dreams and hoping they are all that you expect them to be.

Freya is a naive 18 -year-old girl who wants to be a star of the theatre. In her determination to follow this dream, she runs away from her Cornwall home to London during the Autumn of 1931. On her train journey she meets a young man called Kit, who will become an important part of her life; but will it be for the acting or the romance?

Freya only really runs away to her sister Lou, who informs her that she can only stay for two weeks then she must return home. Will she be able to convince her sister to let her stay longer? Will she ever get the chance to be on stage? If she gets the chance will it be what she always dreamed of?

This is a charming story that is so different for YA readers. It's simply an enchanting coming of age adventure with a complicated romance thrown in. The characters you meet with Freya on her journey are funny, infuriating, unexpected, caring and kind so expect some very funny moments along the way. I loved every minute I spent in these pages and wished the story had been longer as the author has the talent to engage the reader and make them believe they are sharing the experience with her wonderful characters.

The story contains 356 enchanting pages that are easily suitable for 13+ readers. The book would also be great for book clubs as there are opportunities for discussion as the story progresses.

This is a snow-dusted love story that I would easily recommend, it has a lovely cover that reflects the era within its pages. Give it a go.
