Unmistakably a Quentin Blake book, with its familiar illustrative style, Ace Dragon Ltd is an immediate draw. I enjoyed sharing this one with my six year old son. It is a slightly more detailed story, but I love the way the pictures tell the story at different parts. This is a fairly pacey story telling the tale of John who comes across a dragon and in an unusual turnaround, he defeats the dragon in a fight and gets a ride on the dragon as a reward. The story goes on to explore how John and Ace work together to solve the problem when they get stuck in space. This is a lovely adventure story that could be shared by children of all ages.
