Synopsis

A sexy thriller-with a shocking twist-by the author of Everything We Never Said.

River Santos is stuck-in her job, in her dead-end town, in her grief. Her father died in a house fire, her mother has been MIA for nearly a year, and the only person she can count on is her best friend. Things feel like they're turning around when Logan-the mysterious, hot guy at work-suddenly seems interested. But things get complicated when her ex-boyfriend, Noah, starts showing up.

The flames of romance must take a backseat though, when startling revelations about the deadly fire emerge... River isn't sure who to trust anymore, but she needs to figure it out, fast.

Rachel

How do you restart your life when a fire has taken everything - including your dad? Such is the premise for this fast-paced story set in Arizona. 18-year-old River is supported by her best friend, Tawny, and her cousin as she copes with her loss which includes being dumped by her boyfriend Noah. Lurking in the background of the café she works in though is Logan, the hottest boy around.

I found All We Lost Was Everything very easy to read and, although it took a while to get into the story, it did become quite compelling. The grief River carries is raw but mitigated by the support of her friend and cousin, Tita Ana. There is passion aplenty as River's relationship with Logan develops, although there is always the question of "Is he really who he says he is?" This is helped by having some chapters written from Logan's point of view.

The twist at the end, and it really is a twist, is superb. It leaves the reader wondering if we really know anyone at all…..
