Crocodali

Crododali introduces himself as 'the greatest artist in the whole wide world' and requires your help to make a masterpiece! This picture book talks directly to the reader, asking you to interact with the pages by tilting, shaking and blowing the book. As you turn each page, you see what your actions have done to Crocodali's canvas and he suggests another action to rectify this on the next page. The story is simple but there are other books on the market that are similar and, in my opinion, this one isn't as strong as others that I've read. I think younger children would enjoy the story, but it's not magical enough from page to page that it would engage older children. Picture book / Ages 3+ / Reviewed by Lizi Coombs, teacher.
