How To Train Your Teacher is a very funny book to help parents and children get rid of first day worries when starting school. The book is a guide for young children on how a school day works and what they have to do to look after their teacher throughout the day. It is written as if the children are in charge and the teacher is there to learn. I love the way they describe the 'Head' by saying that the head needs their own class so they know what is going on.

I will be giving this book to my niece, who begins school in September. She will love to think that the children are really in charge. It will also support her understanding of a school day and the order in which things happen. A great read for any family embarking on the first few days of school.

Sophie Kent has created bright and colourful illustrations full of character and joy. My son enjoyed working out which child he was in each picture. I love how busy and focused the children are in each illustration.

How to Train Your Teacher was an instant hit in this house. I will be recommending this book to friends.
