Keisha Jones is a Force of Nature is the second book in the Keisha Jones series by Natalie Denny. Keisha Jones is an 8-year-old activist, with a passion for looking after and saving the planet. After learning about her Great Aunt Bee (a fellow activist), Keisha and her two best friends, KD and Paisley, set up Bee Squad in her honour. But now Keisha and Bee Squad need a new cause…

One night when watching the television Keisha sees the Mayor being interviewed for a new car park in the town, the only problem being 100 saplings and 50 trees are going to chopped down - Keisha and Bee Squad have their new cause!  With support from Grandpa Joe, Bee Squad hunt down the Mayor to try and make her change her mind. With a few minor mishaps and some telling off; can Keisha and Bee Squad stop the car park from being built and save the trees?

I thoroughly enjoyed this story as I don't feel there are many books like this around for children to read about doing their part to help the planet. The story not only focuses on being able to help and support local communities but also World Environment Day and friendship. I look forward to seeing if there are anymore Keisha Jones stories in the future…
