King of Beasts is the concluding book to the amazing Twin Crowns series. Even though this is a spin-off, it has the same immersive reading experience that make it clear that this talented author knows how to engage her target audience . . .

King Alaric, has a frozen heart and is often compared to the beasts that serve by his side. That is, until Greta Iverson becomes his new wrangler. He marvels at the way she can communicate with his beasts and how they respect her. He cannot stop thinking about her. Greta, takes the position of wrangler out of necessity as her family is on the edge of starvation. She has no love for her king even though her brother was his previous wrangler. How can a king leave his people to suffer like this, while he sits in luxury? However, as time goes by, her feelings change and slowly she begins to tame the beast within his heart.

King of Beasts is a stunning YA romance fantasy story that is full of magic, action, magical beasts and a thrilling 'good against evil' battle. The romance within the story is not straight-forward as Alarik is promised to another, whose union will make his kingdom stronger. But is the marriage worth it? Is love stronger than power ?

I have enjoyed every moment of this book and indeed the whole series. The world-building is excellent and the reader can quickly become immersed within this frozen, magical world and not want to leave. I loved the addition of previous character from the series as it made the books all link together - and the twist is spectacular! Get a copy and enjoy; you will not be disappointed.
