A song, a hug, a helping hand
that lifts us up so we can stand.

Love is in the Little Things is such a charming story that draws on the quiet moments through a young child's day; the 'little things' that remind a child how much they are loved.

While love itself is never ending, Big (the bear) reminds Small, the child, that "love is made from the little things"; like "your hand in mine. When you make me tea. Just us two, sitting quietly. That song you sing to cheer me up."  Kisses, hugs and helping hands; things that make us laugh and things that make us sad; and learning to say 'sorry', are each depicted through the pages, a gentle reminder of all the things that happen during the day that tell each other how much we love them.

The illustrations match the text perfectly, with gentle, beautifully depicted emotions and the secure rhythm of Big and Small in their everyday life.

Love is in the Little Things would be a lovely gift for those with a small child, and it's a perfect story to share with young children as they grow.
