Synopsis

A brightly illustrated rhyming story about a group of children whose creative endeavours have gone askew, Mistakes are Great teaches children to embrace their mistakes with courage.

Join Max the magician, Tallulah the inventor and their school friends as they recount the legend of the Mistake Monsters, who were once creatures to be feared, but soon become valuable guardians in disguise. With the help of their wise mouse narrator, everyone learns that mistakes are brilliant opportunities to improve and grow.

The Courage Club series equips children with the skills needed to make friends with their feelings and embrace new challenges. These playful rhyming stories are perfect for nurturing confidence and emotional wellbeing. Parent and teacher notes at the back offer support for discussing feelings and emotional resilience with children right from the early years and up.

Mistakes are Great! is the latest addition to The Courage Club series, and it delivers an uplifting and important message in a fun and engaging way.

Everyone is scared to make a mistake; the Mistake Monsters appear when you do! However, one girl doesn't run or hide or get embarrassed when she makes a mistake, instead she talks to her monster. She discovers that Mistake Monsters aren't scary, they bring gifts!

The story is brilliantly written in rhyme, making it enjoyable to read aloud and highly accessible for a wide range of readers. The problems the children face in the story are relatable and they can really support and guide children in learning from their mistakes and turning them into something great!

This book will be a great addition to any classroom or bookshelf at home to show that mistakes really are great and they make us better. It is easily accessible for a wide range of children (and adults!).
