Synopsis
One Monday morning, Horace Norton finds that a mouse has made a house in his hat. On Tuesday, there are a selection of stoats in his satchel . . . and on Wednesday, a collection of cats curled up in his coat! What will Mr Norton do when, as the week progresses, the animals take over his bathroom, his bed - and even HIS BEARD?!
With a message of kindness and a cumulative text that begs to be read aloud, this is a future classic in the making.

What a surprisingly charming book! 'A silly, jolly book' said my eight-year-old. A book my Year 1 children (ages five and six) wanted to read many times. Mr Norton's New Hat is a book corner and end-of-the-day favourite.
Horace Norton wakes up on Monday morning to find a mouse has moved into his hat. New animals move in each day of the week; birds, stoats, cats... Horace gets fed up and the animals leave. But then he is lonely. What should he do?
A wonderful picture book that I know will be enjoyed again and again. I like the alliteration; hat, house and cat, coat, and the story has simple, elegant illustrations. I don't think I would be as kind as Mr Norton though!
