Bestselling and award-winning author Caryl Hart and Waterstone's Book Prize winner, Harry Woodgate, are back. My Small World: Dinosaurs is the first in the fantastic Small World series.
'My Small world is waiting So come, take my hand I’ll show you who lives In my DINOSAUR land!' Come on an adventure of a lifetime through the land of the dinosaurs. Then learn to build your very own Small World with instructions and a handy How To guide.
This cleverly written rhyming story is designed to encourage learning through hands-on creative play. The blend of home-made scenery with imagined and 'real' dinosaurs enable this book to inspire creative small-world play. Illustrations include a treacherous sea made from tin foil; cardboard volcanoes that bubble and boil; while soft cotton wool clouds cross the crepe paper sky.
Join two young explorers as they meet a whole bunch of friendly (and not-so-friendly) dinosaurs. Spot the rhyming words and be inspired to create your own 'Small World'. This is the most wonderful story which is perfect for all young children and will spark their imaginations. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

I don't know who loved this book more, my reception class teacher or the 30 children! The dinosaur island map was a big hit and the children loved this and talking about the different parts of the island (I know they will be creating their own soon!).
The simple rhymes and lovely illustrations in My Small World: Dinosaurs kept the children engaged in the story from start to finish! This book is now being used in the classroom as the children create their own small world dinosaur islands.
A brilliant picture book to spark curiosity and interest and develop children's imaginations. We loved it!
