Ollie's Busy Bee is a really beautiful picture book about a little girl who discovers a secret garden full of wildlife and tries to recreate it at home!
After discovering a secret garden, Ollie struggles to find it again the next day. But then she has a bright idea - she could make her own bug-friendly paradise, planting seeds, building a bee hotel and adding a bath for the birds! She's delighted when it works, and her green space is teeming with wildlife.
This is a really charming book which will encourage young readers to engage with nature and think about how they could make their gardens wildlife-friendly. The illustrations are beautiful and I loved the muted colour scheme with pops of yellow (for the bees) and purple. The cut-out details on each page are also an added treat. A delightful book which will become a firm favourite for nature-loving families.
