A brilliant celebration of the many wonderful animals from around the whole world! From rainforests to rockpools, woodlands to cities, One World, Many Animals introduces children to the amazing animals in different types of habitats.
We share the world with millions of other animal species. They live in hot places, cold places, busy places and wild places. Planet Earth is their home, just like it is our home. Discover where your favourite animals live, then learn how you can help wildlife around you with tips from travel writer Ben Lerwill. From a jaguar creeping through the steamy Amazonian rainforest to a snow leopard on a Himalayan mountainside, there are plenty of animals to see
Beautiful illustrations and lyrical descriptions bring to life coral reefs, sandy deserts, woodlands, rockpools and the bustling city - plus more! A perfect introduction to biodiversity around the world.
One World, Many Animals will delight readers with vibrant descriptions of wild animals from Ben Lerwill, and there is so much to spot in the colourful pages brought to life with artwork by Alette Straathof. Companion title: One World, Many Colours.

OUR PLANET IS AMAZING! This beautifully illustrated book is a delight, providing information and opportunities for discussion and discovery on every page.
Written by award-winning travel writer, Ben Lerwill, the latest title in his One World Series focuses on the animal kingdom in varied habitats across the world. The habitats chosen range from 'big hitters', such as the Amazon, to the more mundane local habitats beneath our feet. In each case some animals are labelled and others listed for the reader to spot and identify.
This book would be ideal to share as a parent with a curious child, as an adult 1:1, or with a group, and as a Key Stage 1 teacher I would definitely use it to support science lessons on habitats and biodiversity. It also provides great opportunities to discover noun phrases and verbs for animal movement. Beyond that children will enjoy the ID challenges on every page.
The last page lists ways in which budding eco warriors can protect the world around them. The message shared clearly is that our world has an amazing range of habitats which support creatures big and small.
This is a very satisfying read and I look forward to checking out the other title in the series, One World, Many Colours. A superb choice for any child's bookshelf.
