Sindhu and Jeet's missing star mystery is a book with three short stories inside; the stories are fun, fast paced and easy to follow - although you could argue that they're a little rushed! Together, Sindhu and Jett solve the mystery of a woman who has left two wills, a missing movie star and a missing ring before a wedding. The characters are modern and will appeal to children.

Bloomsbury Young Readers is a great series of 'book banded' books that are interesting and engaging for children. This book is set at 'Grey' band and would suit children in LKS2 - probably the end of year 3/moving into Year 4. There are some pictures throughout and the author has used different techniques (speech bubbles and diagrams for example) to keep younger reader's interested.
