What happens in Jack and the beanstalk? Oh yes, the giant is in the castle and Jack steal stuff. Well the giant in this story will not stay put. He wants to play and climbs down before Jack can climb up. The giant then scares everyone in fairytale land so much that they climb the beanstalk to get away. Poor giant, what is he to do? Luckily, a dragon is around to help.
There Is No Giant In This Story is a good picture book to share with children who know their fairytale creatures well. They will understand the humour and recognise the characters in the pictures. A nice book to keep on the book shelf as an alternative fairytale. The illustration are well created and bring this picture book to life. I like the way the words and pictures work together on each page.
