'There's a bear on my chair' say a little grey mouse. The mouse is not happy with this. The mouse tries pushing the bear off, he tries sharing with the bear, glaring at the bear... It's no use the bear does not move. The mouse gives up and the bear goes looking for him. What will the bear find?
There's a Bear on My Chair is a fun book for small children to enjoy at bedtime. I am sure it will be requested again and again. What would your child do if there was a bear on their chair?
I would use this book in a couple of ways. I would use it as a fun read at school story time or home bedtime. I would also use this book in Year 1 (ages 5-6) when teaching all the ways of making the 'air' sound as the book is full of them. Air as ear in beat, air in chair, are in share, ere in there etc. The children could read the book and pick out all the different 'air' sounds and put them into groups. They could write their own 'air' sentence etc.
This book is a teacher's dream. This will be a book used again and again in my class.
