Up the Creek

Up the creek is a fun tale of three friends and how they overcome the usual falling outs and disagreements that occur in all friendships. I liked the characters and illustrations that accompanied the story. Children liked moose, beaver and bear and were engaged laughing at the events. This books lent itself well to work on cooperation and teamwork. The only issue was that some of the vocabulary within the book was difficult for children to understand and needed clarification and explaining. At times this can detract from the story itself. However overall this was an enjoyable class read for myself and the children. Picture book / Ages 5+ / Reviewed by Marie Berry, teacher.
