Join the fun as the bunnies head off on an adventure to find the hidden treasure chest. This lift-the-flap book from Martha Mumford follows the same structure as her other stories, We're going on an Elf Chase and We're going on an Egg Hun - if your children liked those, they're bound to love this one!
We're going on a Treasure Hunt feels like a step up from the other books, as you count the gold coins you find throughout the book - great for early numeracy skills and number recognition. The text is still simple and easy to follow. The illustrations from Laura Hughes are charming and engaging, they're detailed and exciting to look at.
In the classroom, this book could be a good read during a pirate topic, children could write their own versions or perhaps even develop a more detailed narrative for the bunnies' journey. There are also maths opportunities in this book, particularly with recognising and ordering numbers to 10.
