Synopsis
The latest funny adventure for a young girl and her wolfish best friend!
Aunt Ilda is coming to visit, and that means big trouble for Libby and her adorable purple best friend, Wulfie. Ilda will do anything to win the top dog show prize on live TV. Anything. Including kidnapping Wulfie!
But Wulfie, of course, isn't a dog at all. He talks, he shrinks and grows, and when he sneezes - time freezes. He's the sweetest best friend Libby could hope for - and now he needs her help.
Can Libby rescue Wulfie and humiliate Aunt Ilda on TV? Well, with a best friend like Wulfie, anything can happen.

Wufie: Beast in Show is the second book in the Wulfie series. Libby lives with her Dad (a wacky inventor), her step mother Veronika (who isn't that nice) and her step-brother Rex (who also isn't very nice) and life isn't that great. Apart from that, Libby has a big and small secret; her best friend, Wulfie who is wolf-like creature who can change size, talk and stop time! Veronika's sister, Aunt Ilda, is coming to the house and Veronika is making Libby do ALL the cleaning.
Aunt Ilda is a tough cookie and very hard to please, she is never happy and lives to make Veronika's life miserable, as well as everyone else around her. Aunt Ilda is also a dog trainer and will do anything to win the top prize at the dog show, which is also live on TV. One problem, Wulfie likes to get into trouble and boy does he in this story! With an Aunt who will do anything and a naughty wolf-creature, only chaos will happen and it is down to Libby to save the day and the show!
The story was enjoyable and would be great for children who love animal stories and a bit of action. I enjoyed the illustrations and it bought the story alive, especially the double page spreads. The story is fast paced and full of action. The chapters are not too long and would suit a child just starting chapter books for the first time.
