Join the SS Great Britain, a real ship, on an unexpected final journey!
Nicola Skinner was inspired to write her new book, Starboard, when she first saw the ship SS Great Britain, designed by the famous engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel in 1843, at its dry dock in Bristol.
In this video, Nicola tells us more about Starboard, in which a girl finds herself unexpectedly captaining the SS Great Britain on a final voyage, and we find out a little about the SS Great Britain herself, followed by a short reading from Starboard.
