Achievement Award Winner 2019

Congratulations to Eastfield Infant and Nursery School for winning this year's Achievement Award as a result of their whole school enthusiasm for the ReadingZone Picture Book Competition, with every class entering a picture book to the competition.

Two of their picture books were Shortlisted for the Young Creators Award, with a further two Commended. You can download the winning picture book, Pig in Trouble, via the link, below. Our judges said of your books, "What beautifully-produced picture books, with such imaginative stories, well done all the children at Eastfield Infant and Nursery School. "Your picture books covered such a range of subjects, from runaway apples and adventurous princesses to missing crowns and growing seeds. We can't believe you managed to think up such dramatic, thoughtful and surprising stories, and your illustrations for your stories were full of emotion, action and colour. "It was good to see such a mix of authors and illustrators, too, with some books made by individuals and others by whole classes. Well done to all of you." Eastfield Infant and Nursery School has won one hundred pounds worth of books from Macmillan Children's Books, congratulations!
