Scottish Booktrust has made its Authors Live programme, created with the BBC, available on demand to viewers at home and to schools, enabling children to still watch author events at a time when these aren't physically possible.
Each week, Scottish Book Trust will highlight three past broadcasts (one for lower primary, one for upper primary and one for secondary) that families can watch together at home at any point during the week. Each broadcast will also have an accompanying set of learning activities, which you will find linked below the video on each Authors Live page. For the week of 20th April, the following sessions have been made available: Tracey Corderoy and Steven Lenton: Have your drawing supplies at the ready for a fun-filled event with the team behind the hilarious Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam books. Suitable for ages 6-11. Liz Pichon: Featuring lots of giggles and doodles, author and illustrator Liz Pichon explores the world of her well-loved character, Tom Gates. Suitable for ages 8-11. Nikesh Shukla: Hear about Nikesh's powerful novel The Boxer, the impact of experiencing racist abuse, and how sport can empower young people. Suitable for ages 12+.
