Award for top pupil library assistant

Nominations for the Pupil Library Assistant of the Year Award 2018 are now open and will close on November 13th 2017. The award recognises the contribution made by pupils who work in school libraries and the skills they gain by doing so.

Pupils must be at least 13 years old to be entered and to have served within a school library for at least two years at the time of nomination. Only one child per school can be nominated. The judges are looking for library assistants who support the vision and goals of the library; promotes the role and services of the library to the school community; acts as a role model for other pupils; promotes reading; has good IT skills and is a regular library user. They are also encouraged to reflect on how working in the library has helped them as an individual. The winner of the 2018 Pupil Library Assistant of the Year will be announced in late March 2018.
