Children's Bookshow offers free school workshops

The autumn programme for The Children's Bookshow has been published, including 60 free author workshops for schools. Authors taking part in events around the country include Judith Kerr, Michael Rosen and David Litchfield.

The 2017 tour runs from Friday 22nd September when Michael Rosen kicks off with a hilarious gig at the Theatre Royal Newcastle, to Friday 24th November. The tour will end at Europe House with Finnish, Estonian and Russian writers and a homegrown talent, Alexis Deacon, author of Beegu, who will be talking about the Moomins with Finnish representatives. Some 60 free school workshops are available for schools that book 30 tickets for an event with The Children's Bookshow. Children who take part in the workshops will also be given a free copy of the author's book. ReadingZone has two free tickets to give away, to Daniel Morden's event for The Children's Bookshow at The Liverpool Philharmonic on Thursday 2nd November at 10.30 am. The show last approximately 1 hour. Daniel Morden has travelled all over the world as a professional storyteller and his new collection of traditional stories, Secret Tales from Wales, are tales of enchantment, mystery and danger, where ordinary people triumph through their own bravery and native wit. In addition to the show Daniel Morden will also be doing four free school workshops. These are available for schools who book to see the show.
