Design your own monster!

Create your own monster, share it on Twitter, and it could be drawn by former children's laureate Chris Riddell.

The competition, run by publisher Andersen Press, will close on 11 December. Chris Riddell created a friendly blue monster for his picture book story, Mr Underbed, in which a small boy discovers the monster under his bed. The author and illustrator has criticised the blue monster and the storyline used in this year's John Lewis advertisement for being far to similar to his own story.
