Free Remembrance Day event with Tom Palmer, 11 November 2025

Join author Tom Palmer in marking Remembrance Day with a free online event hosted by Mr Dilly; Why Do We Remember the Second World War?

The event is aimed at students aged seven to 14 years (KS2–KS3) and will be aired live from the D-Day Story Museum in Portsmouth. It will run from 9.15am.

The event will include exploring artefacts and personal stories from D-Day and the wider war. Special guest Tom Palmer (author of After the War, Arctic Star, DDay Dog) will join Mr Dilly in the studio, and students can see Mr Dilly's short film commemorating WW2 and VE Day - a creative retelling of the war, featuring Mr Dilly in multiple roles from the period.
