Live Lesson to mark 500 Words competition launch

BBC's Live Lessons will be running a special lesson on Monday 16th January at 11am to mark the launch of the 2017 500 Words Competition, run by Radio 2.

The 500 Words competition invites those aged 5-13 years to write a story of 500 words or under. Nearly half a million children in the UK have so far been inspired to take part in the competition, often through their schools and classrooms. During this literacy-themed Live Lesson, which will run for around 50 minutes, the BBC will share story-writing tips and expertise with schools across the UK.
