Michael Grant's new action-packed series will follow on from his bestselling Gone books. The first book in the new series, Monster, will be published in October this year with two more books in the series to follow.

Monster, published by Electric Monkey, introduces a whole new host of compelling characters but fans will also be delighted at the return of some key familiar faces. Set after the dome comes down, Shade Darby, a witness to the events that day, vows never to feel that powerless again. Now, four years later, she gets her hands on a part of the meteor that began it all - and that's when she changes. Shade discovers she's not the only one mutating, but the authorities cannot allow these superpowers to go unchecked. Stella Paskins, fiction publisher at Egmont, promises "a return to the FAYZ on Michael Grant's terms, so expect the unexpected. Readers are in for a rollercoaster of a treat." Michael Grant's World Book Day 1 book, Dead of Night, will be published on 23rd February and he will be touring the UK from 27th February-8th March. Michael Grant lives in the San Francisco Bay area where he takes his inspiration from his charming view of Alcatraz. As well as his dystopian fantasy series, Gone, Michael Grant's series include the futuristic trilogy BZRK, the menacing Messenger of Fear, and his latest Front Lines series. Silver Stars, the second book in the Front Lines series, was published by Electric Monkey earlier this year.
